Is staffing free in Campfront?

Yes. Staffing is free, with no limits, whether you use Campfront for staffing on its own or alongside enrollment. Background checks are a paid add-on, charged per check.

What’s included in Campfront’s per‑camper price?

Your per-camper price covers the full platform with no hidden fees. Registration, payments, forms, reporting, 50 GB of media storage with AI tagging, 2,000 SMS credits per month, and parent and staff portals are all included as standard.

There are three optional extras. Additional media storage is available if you need more than the included 50 GB. Facial recognition, with print-quality downloads, is an optional add-on priced per person who opts in (campers and staff). Many camps pass this cost on to families as part of their photo package, turning it into a revenue opportunity rather than an expense. Background checks, available in the US, are billed per check, plus any government fees.

How do Campfront’s pricing tiers work?

Pricing is based on an enrollment fee per camper, with the cost decreasing as your enrollment grows. Each tier applies only to the campers within that range, so your overall cost per camper goes down the more campers you enroll.

How does Stripe payment processing work with Campfront?

Payments run through Stripe Connect at their standard processing rates, and we don’t add anything on top. Families can pay by card, bank transfer (ACH), Apple Pay, or Google Pay, and you can also accept check, wire, or cash. You can absorb card and ACH fees, or pass them on to families as a convenience fee.

How does Campfront bill for SMS messages?

Your per-camper fee includes all email broadcasts and 2,000 SMS credits per calendar month. A text to a US or Canadian number uses 1 credit, and other countries use 2. Above that, credits are charged, and you see how many a text will use before you send.

How much does Campfront’s media library cost?

Every camp gets 50 GB of storage free, with media sharing and AI tagging included. If you need more, storage plans are billed annually:

How much does Campfront Events cost?

Events starts at $2.99 per paid ticket, paid by the buyer by default, or your camp can cover it. Free events are always free. Stripe’s processing fees are separate, and you can use Events without running enrollment in Campfront. View Events.

Why is facial recognition a paid add-on in Campfront?

Facial recognition and print-quality downloads add a cost for every person included. To keep per-camper fees low, we offer them as an optional add-on rather than building that cost into everyone’s price. You only pay if you use it.

How does facial recognition consent work?

Facial recognition is off by default. Each camp first decides whether to turn it on for families, staff, or both. From there it’s opt-in: families choose whether to enable it for their camper, and staff opt in for themselves. You only pay for the people who opt in.

Does Campfront offer multi‑camp pricing?

Yes. If you operate more than one camp, we calculate your pricing based on total enrollments across all of your camps combined, not each camp individually. This means you benefit from the higher volume tiers sooner. For example, three camps with 500 campers each would be priced as 1,500 total campers rather than three separate accounts of 500.

Can we sell photos to families?

Yes. Facial recognition is $3 per person who opts in and includes print-quality downloads. If you would rather sell access to families than include it, you set the price and Campfront takes 10%. Plenty of camps cover the cost of the add-on this way.

How long does setup take?

Most camps are up and running in days, and we help migrate your data from your current system.

Can I import data from my current system?

Yes. Import your campers, staff, and historical records yourself from a CSV file, or our team can help you with the move.

Is there a mobile app?

Yes. Parents and staff can download the Campfront app on Android from Google Play, and the iPhone app follows once Apple approves it. Campfront also works in any browser on any device, with a full experience on phones and tablets.
